Please Read The How To Videos Central Skype Room Guidelines
Anyone may join the How To Videos Central Skype Room. The requirements and guidelines to be a member of this Skype room are as follows and may be updated from time to time. Please make suggestions for the improvement of these guidelines in the room and also below in comments.
- Please read and agree to these Guidelines. To agree, you need to add a comment to this post saying you have read the Guidelines & you agree. Add an introduction in the comment (including your website address). This must be done so that you can participate in the room.
- Please introduce yourself when you join the room (See Introductions for more info). You will be able to post in the Room once you have introduced yourself on this blog and in the room.
- Participate, ask questions, be helpful, make friends and add your intro and add your link each Friday (your time) both in the room and here.
- It goes without saying - be respectful and courtesy to fellow participants.
- No blatant marketing is permissable in the room. Partcipants join to receive assistance with their technology challenges. Posting of links to share your successes and request assistance is permitted, just no marketing fluff…
- Have fun!
How to introduce yourself
When you join the room (required) and on our weekly Introduce Yourself Day (optional), tell us about yourself by using “My Introduction” and then provide your:
- First & Last Name (your skype id is all people will see initially);
- Location (City and Country);
- Business and/or Hobby’s, Interests or Passions;
- How you found us;
- Why you joined the room;
- Whats on your mind today (optional);
- Goals (optional);
- What you want help with (optional);
How to Leave a Comment Reply Here & Get a Backlink to Your Site
To post a comment - you just need to leave your name, email and optionally your website. Leaving your website will add a back link to your site.
Each time you leave a comment your name will be a hyperlink to your site in your profile. If you have any proplem’s seeing where to Leave a Reply, seeing the Comment box below then Skype me or any room host.
Participate Regularly
Chat periodically with your new friends in the room, ask questions, offer help to others. Ask questions! Comment please on the effectiveness of advise being given.
We reserve the right to remove people who do not participate for a long time (but we are not very strict. Just chat and participate and come to events when you can). We will have other activities in here eventually too. Make suggestions.
Please observe proper “netiquette” in the Skype Rooms. We are all professionals and need to respect one another’s thoughts and opinions. We may not always agree with what is being said/written, but we do need to respect others thought/opinions.
(1) If someone writes something that is incorrect, send them a PM (private mail) to correct the post.
(2) If someone is speaking and directs a question toward you (addresses you by name), please be kind and respond to the statement. Ignoring someone talking directly to you is rude whether online or offline. If the question is sent at a time when you aren’t online, respond once you are!
(3) If you are interested in using a comment made by someone in any of the Skype Rooms, with or without a link, ask permission from the writer of the comment before you post the info in any other Skype Rooms or Blogs. Depending on what the content is, it could have a totally different meaning than the way it is used in the Skye Room discussion. It may also be a case in point where the writer wanted to ONLY share it with members of the room and not the general public.
Weekly Introduce Yourself Days
On Fridays, you are encouraged to post your introduction including your website in the Skype Room. New people join all the time and so a regular introduction si a good idea. Tip: Copy and paste from your Comment here on this post or somewhere else, or rewrite it new each week- its up to you.
Skype Room Hosts (as well as Members who want to practice networking, meeting people, etc) can greet and welcome new people and then encourage them to:
1. Read the Guidelines above in the blue area of the Skype Room
2. Introduce themselves and see how to do introduction in the guidelines above
3. Invite them to participate in room activities, network and get to know people here and please DO ask questions about their technology challeges etc.
Posting about Technology Challenges
When posting about your technology challenges, it helps to know the following informaton:
- Website address (if applicable), or if it’s a specific page on the site, the full link.
- Application being used and what version (You can generally find that out by using the Help -> About menu item).
- Error messages you are receiving.
- What you are trying to achieve / what isn’t happening.
- Please do get to know each other and support each other in here too.

I am here to help other like minded people getting their businesses set up with the tools you need to make a success of an online business.
I also help make digital memories with a camera, and my husband forms the other half of the team of memory makers. He captures memories on DVD.
I love to interact with people, sharing with them and learning about them. I do so on Skype, Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, LinkedIn, Squidoo, HubPages, JoePopular and several Forums.

Hi Charly!
We have a few things in common. Back in HS & college I was an Obedience Class Instructor and Trainer. I have been a HotConference room owner for over 3 years (gosh, just doesn’t seem that long).
I have been totally self-employed for the last 12 years and have always done consulting/ coaching/ mentoring on the side.
I have a master reseller’s hosting account, so that I can help folks start their own web hosting business. I’ve been teaching and conducting workshops since the 1970’s in various topics from dog training to Developing/ Trusting Your Intuition, to Creating Your Own Info Products.
I moved from W. Mass. to San Antonio Texas late last summer. it was the first time in my life w/o having to be a caregiver to family members or have the responsibility of owning property. This is a short- term stay until I figure out what I want to be when I grow up- well maybe until I just decide what state to terroize next. I doubt that I will ever grow up
I do agree w/ the guidelines above, now where have I seen these before????? they look familiar….lol
